Welcome to Year 4's web page. Please have a look at how busy we have been.
In Year 4, we are given our weekly spellings to practise every night in preparation for our test on a Thursday Morning.

We use the Look, cover, say, write and check method.

We have been to the Potteries Museum to try out a range of new skills and experiences. We had a fantastic day sampling 4 different activities.

Have a look below at some of our photographs that we took whilst we were there.

We had to sketch portraits of each other  Children beginning to make facial parts out of clay
The children tried thier hand at archaeology  We had to put together the pieces of the broken plates

As part of the new Government strategy to encourage children to participate in more high quality PE, Year 4 took part in a Sports Festival hosted at Alleynes High School in November 2006. The children had a fantastic time and were able to take part in a variety of activities that they may not necessarily have ever experienced before. Along with football, the children tried their hands at canoeing, tri-golf, orienteering and trampolining. Have a look at us in action below.

canoeing at Alleynes Swimming Baths  Football on the astroturf pitches
 Tri-Golf  Trampolining

Year 4 are designing and making money containers as part of our current Design and Technology topic. We have used a variety of different materials to complete our finished designs.
